School Closure
Severe weather conditions & school closure
In cases of extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control (e.g. burst pipes, central heating failure), it may be necessary to close our school to all pupils or to specific year groups. Such a decision will not be taken lightly and will only happen after careful consideration of the following:
- Safety & accessibility of the school site and surrounding area;
- Availability of heat, light, power and water;
- Availability of staff;
- Availability of meals
Parents/carers will be informed of any closure as soon as a decision has been made, ideally the day before if possible.
