Mr Alan Tilman - Chair of Governors
I am the Chair of Governors and have been a governor for 4 years since my first child started at the school.
I believe that a good early education for children can have a huge impact on their attitude to learning and their abilities in later education; our school strives to provide the best environment and opportunities for all, and I am very proud to be part of the team that helps shape the vision and direction.
I’m committed to supporting the school and working closely with the Head to ensure the school has the resources required to deliver the best experience we can.
I’m enthusiastic about the children’s learning and development and enjoy visiting the school and helping with enrichment activities to get involved first hand with the children and see the impact of the teaching. I am proud of our achievements and the results our children get.
Mr Paul Chylinski - Vice Chair and Chair of Finance
I am a foundation governor, appointed by St. Andrew’s Church Council as one of its representatives on the board of governors. I am delighted to be involved in the school community and have already seen what a brilliant environment has been built by the staff, parents and governors. I’m keen to build on this and help St. Andrew’s to continue to offer a great education and to be a fun, safe place for our children.
Now retired, I spent forty plus years within the Automobile Industry and have experience in Budgeting, Business planning and Operational Management. As the Chair of the Finance Committee I welcome the opportunity to assist the governing body in its role to deliver the best for our school and children.
Mrs Allison Underhill - Headteacher
I have been a primary school teacher for over 20 years and have taught all primary school year groups in a variety of different sized schools ranging from 0.5 to 3 forms of entry. I am a Local Leader of Education (LLE) which enables me to offer support to other schools when required and am also an associate governor at Caludon Castle Secondary School. I was appointed as Head Teacher at St Andrew's in September 2010 and feel privileged to work with such a committed and highly skilled team of teachers, support staff and governors who work tirelessly to ensure our school is the very best it can possibly be.
Miss Amy Falconbridge - Staff Governor
I joined St Andrew’s Infant School as a newly qualified teacher in 2018 and I am currently responsible for teaching one of the Year 2 classes. I am passionate about teaching and feel very lucky to be part of such a lovely school. I was elected by my colleagues to represent them as a staff governor and enjoy being able to support the other governing body members in making decisions which will bring about further school improvements.
Ms Diane Fellows - Governor
I am a foundation governor appointed by St Andrew's church Council as one of its representatives on the board of governors. As a foundation governor we act as a bridge between St Andrews Church and the school. This is a wonderful opportunity and I really enjoy serving both the school community and our church community. As part of the church I lead worship by playing the church organ and I am involved in reading and leading prayers. I have been involved in education for 30 years and have worked in all phases of education. I really enjoy being part of St Andrews Infant School and I look forward to supporting all of the staff and children to be the best we can be.
Mr Aaron Morgan - Governor
I am a parent governor for St Andrews and have been in post for 4 years. When my daughter joined the school, becoming a governor was a wonderful opportunity to join her journey in the school and to learn new skills. Having volunteered at others schools I wished to make a contribution to support the school towards its vision.
I am proud of the accomplishments of both the pupils and hardworking staff at St Andrews and its larger parts in the community.
It has been a wonderful experience to see the children’s growth in the school through confident learning and enjoying their time at school.
Mrs Adele Morris - Governor
I am a Co-opted Governor, elected by the Governing Body, having previously been a Parent Governor at St Andrews for 4 years.
I sit on both the Quality & Standards and Personnel & Finance committee's.
As a parent to two children who have both attended St Andrews I am very passionate about the performance of the school. I use my role within the Governing Body to fully support the school with its vision and key priorities, and ensuring every child receives the best experience possible while at our school.
Mrs Emma Muntoni - Governor
After my daughter started at St Andrew’s in September, I knew that I wanted to make a positive contribution to this wonderful school. I am a teacher at a local school and hope that my knowledge means that I will be an asset to the school governors, as well as asserting a parental perspective. I look forward to supporting St Andrew’s in the coming years.
Mrs Jenny O'Kane - Staff Governor
I am a class teacher at St Andrew’s Infant school, currently in Year Two. I have been a teacher for 4 years and have worked at St Andrew’s for 3 years. Before being a teacher I was a teaching assistant for 8 years.
I absolutely love being part of the St Andrew’s family. I am really enjoying being a staff Governor and gaining an insight into what being a Governor involves. It has been so lovely to see how much the Governors care and are involved in decisions made about the school.
Dr Tim Stratton - Governor
I am a parent governor at St Andrews and my eldest son started the school in 2019. In my professional life I am a researcher for Ofqual, the assessment regulator, and so have a particular interest in statistics and data relating to education. In my role as governor I aim to use my expertise to support the school in its decision making, but also to learn and understand the needs of the students.
