Mr Alan Tilman - Chair of Governors I am the Chair of Governors and have been a governor for 4 years since my first child started at the school. I believe that a good early education for children can have a huge impact on their attitude to learning and their abilities in later education; our school strives to provide the best environment and opportunities for all, and I am very proud to be part of the team that helps shape the vision and direction. I’m committed to supporting the school and working closely with the Head to ensure the school has the resources required to deliver the best experience we can. I’m enthusiastic about the children’s learning and development and enjoy visiting the school and helping with enrichment activities to get involved first hand with the children and see the impact of the teaching. Mrs Allison Underhill - Headteacher I have been a primary school teacher for over 25 years and have taught all primary school year groups in a variety of different sized schools ranging from 0.5 to 3 forms of entry. I am a Local Leader of Education (LLE) which enables me to offer support to other schools when required and am also the Deanery Rep for Coventry Diocesan schools. I was appointed as Head Teacher at St Andrew's in September 2010 and feel privileged to work with such a committed and highly skilled team of teachers, support staff and governors who work tirelessly to ensure our school is the very best it can possibly be. |
Mrs Ann Burton - Staff Governor Having gained a BA Hons QTS degree from Warwick University and the Senco Award from Edgehill University I am the DHT and SENDCO at St Andrews CE Infant School. my experience has been in a range of primary schools with the ability to teach from Reception Yr through to Yr6. The support and love for the children in my care is of paramount importance to me and the team that I work with have these qualities in an abundance. |
Reverend Jo Joyce - Foundation Governor As Vicar of St Andrew’s Church, I am a Foundation Governor and work to support the school maintain its Christian ethos. I joined St Andrew’s in 2021 as Vicar and have enjoyed getting to know the local community and connecting church and school life. I love meeting the children and helping them to reflect on the spiritual side of life creatively, recognising that we all connect with God in different ways. Before being a Vicar I worked as a manager in local government and have worked in the horticultural sector in different way for twenty years prior to ordination, bringing a wide variety of experience from that to my present role. |
Mrs Natalie Depledge - Parent Governor I am a parent governor at St Andrew's and began my role in October 2023. My daughter joined the school in September 2022 and I was eager to contribute to this wonderful school and its community. I am a qualified primary school teacher with 10 years experience but I now run a tutoring business, working with a range of children. I hope this experience meands I can support the schoool in the best way I can and foster a collaborative environment that ensures the best possible outcome for our pupils. I strive to contribute my insights and perspectives as both a parent and educator, working alongsidge fellow governors and staff to promote a positive and enriching learning environment for all our pupils her at St Andrew's. |
Mr James Sheerman - Parent Governor I became a parent governor when my eldest son joined the school in 2024. We, as parents, were already sold on the commitment and compassion that the St Andrew’s staff gave to the students there and now, with him excelling and enjoying his time at the school, we knew it was the right choice. When the opportunity came up to become considered as a Parent Governor, I immediately put myself forward in the hope to be able to support an already fantastic school with my experience in education and as a father. I work as a Training Team Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead for Coventry based educational training provider, PET-Xi. My role is to ensure the safety of children and vulnerable adults across the UK and the training of our staff that work with them. As well as working in education, I am also a writer, theatre director and musician – regularly performing around the UK and in reception classes as some of the St Andrews students may recall! It’s a privilege to be part of such a wonderful team and I hope that I can use this opportunity to contribute and to develop. |
Mr Ivo Nikolov - Parent Governor Ever since my daughter Isla started attending St Andrews in 2022 I had an interest in contributing to the school in some way. It was a privilege to be elected as parent Governor in October 2023. Professionally I consult for businesses looking to build their internal capabilities and improve their operations performance. This brings me in contact with the topic of adult learning and people development and I hope to apply that analogous experience for the benefit of the school, the staff and, most importantly the children that we have the privilege to educate and influence at such a foundational stage of their lives. Together with the entire governorning board I'm committed to supporting the school's leadership team and staff to maintain St Andrews as an excellent and inclusive learning environment focused on growth, development and leaving no-one behind. |
Mr Daniel Collins - Parent Governor My son joined the school in september 2022 and since he joined the school I have been impressed with the learning and support that he has been given. I became parent governor in October 2023. The school and its staff make it a fantastically positive space for the education that all the children receive. I have worked in building services for 20 years and currently manage the Stratfrod Innovation Campus on behalf of the University of Warwick. I look forward to supporting the school in any way I can. |
Mrs Julia McNaney - Foundation Governor I have been a Foundation Governor since August 2023 and I am the nominated governor for Safeguarding for St Andrews School. I was a Police Officer for 31 years with the West Midlands Police. When I retired in 2007, I became a consultant for the Home office for five years and the Department of Health for two years. From 2005 until 2019 I ran my own Training Consultancy, but fully retired in 2019. I have a MSc in Legal and Forensic Psychology and I have an Advanced Certificate in Education. From my limited contact so far, St.Andrew's is an impressive little school. The children are happy and engaged and the staff are committed to doing their very best for them. I’ve seen two concerts in school and a whole school service in Church and all were a credit to those involved. Going forward I hope to be more involved on a day to day basis and to help the Governing body to give as much support to the school as possible. |

Nicole Perry - Parent Governor I am a parent governor at St Andrew's and began my role in 2021. When my children started at the school in 2020, I was very impressed with the start to school life that they received and jumped at the opportunity to contribute to the school community by becoming a governor. I have been a primary school teacher for 13 years and work at a local primary school. I hope that my expertise and knowledge will enable me to support the school in its continued success and development. Mrs Naomi Lewis - Foundation Governor My role as Foundation Governor at St. Andrews School began in 2023. My life at the school began in 1994 as a Teaching Assistant until 2016 when l retired. I have also worked as a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant at St Andrews. I have been a resident in Eastern Green and a member of St. Andrews Church for 42 years. My three children attended St Andrews School. I volunteer one morning a week in Reception and enjoy interacting with the children. It's a privilege to be part of St. Andrews School. |
