Meet our Governors

Mr Alan Tilman - Chair of Governors

I am the Chair of Governors and have been a governor for 4 years since my first child started at the school.

I believe that a good early education for children can have a huge impact on their attitude to learning and their abilities in later education; our school strives to provide the best environment and opportunities for all, and I am very proud to be part of the team that helps shape the vision and direction.

I’m committed to supporting the school and working closely with the Head to ensure the school has the resources required to deliver the best experience we can.

I’m enthusiastic about the children’s learning and development and enjoy visiting the school and helping with enrichment activities to get involved first hand with the children and see the impact of the teaching.  I am proud of our achievements and the results our children get.

Mr Alex Breeze - Vice Chair of Governors

I am the Local Authority appointed governor for St Andrews and live in the east of the city. Currently I am the vice chair of governors and chair the Quality and Standards committee. For some years I was a secondary English teacher in Coventry and Warwickshire and have also worked in employment support for Coventry City Council and in community outreach for Coventry University.

I have been a governor at St Andrews for a number of years and continue to be amazed at the professionalism and dedication of our staff and the amazing achievements our students make. I am passionate about education and feel that my role as a governor can help contribute in a small way to making sure every child has the chance to flourish.

Mr Paul Chylinski - Chair of Finance
Mrs Allison Underhill - Headteacher
Mrs Ann Burton - Staff Governor
Ms Diane Fellows - Governor
Miss Sophie Gulliver - Governor

Mr Aaron Morgan - Governor

I am a parent governor for St Andrews and have been in post for 4 years. When my daughter joined the school, becoming a governor was a wonderful opportunity to join her journey in the school and to learn new skills. Having volunteered at others schools I wished to make a contribution to support the school towards its vision.

I am proud of the accomplishments of both the pupils and hardworking staff at St Andrews and its larger parts in the community.

It has been a wonderful experience to see the children’s growth in the school through confident learning and enjoying their time at school.

Mrs Adele Morris - Governor

I am a Co-opted Governor, elected by the Governing Body, having previously been a Parent Governor at St Andrews for 4 years.

I sit on both the Quality & Standards and Personnel & Finance committee's.

As a parent to two children who have both attended St Andrews I am very passionate about the performance of the school.  I use my role within the Governing Body to fully support the school with its vision and key priorities, and ensuring every child receives the best experience possible while at our school.

Mrs Emma Muntoni - Governor

After my daughter started at St Andrew’s in September, I knew that I wanted to make a positive contribution to this wonderful school. I am a teacher at a local school and hope that my knowledge means that I will be an asset to the school governors, as well as asserting a parental perspective. I look forward to supporting St Andrew’s in the coming years.

Mrs Jenny O'Kane - Staff Governor

Dr Tim Stratton - Governor

I am a parent governor at St Andrews and my eldest son started the school in 2019. In my professional life I am a researcher for Ofqual, the assessment regulator, and so have a particular interest in statistics and data relating to education. In my role as governor I aim to use my expertise to support the school in its decision making, but also to learn and understand the needs of the students.

Mrs Hilary Wankling - Governor

I am a foundation governor, appointed by St. Andrew’s Church Council as one of its representatives on the board of governors. I see my governor role as one of maintaining the strong links the school has with St Andrew’s Church. As a former primary school teacher and headteacher, I believe I have an understanding of the challenges facing education today and the skills with which to support the leadership team. I really enjoy coming into school and it has been a privilege to get to know the staff and the children. This is clearly a school where inclusivity is valued - everyone who steps over the threshold is welcomed and respected whatever their beliefs.
