Young Carers

We have been working hard on the plans for the 2023 Young Carers Festival and are now in a position to release the booking form ready for the 2023 festival. The dates have been confirmed from 30th June – 2nd July and will run on a similar basis as previous years.

For anyone who has not been to a festival before you can see videos and information at the following link: https://ymca-fg.org/ycf/. For those who would like to know more or ask questions before booking some of the team will be available on Teams calls at the following times:

If you would like to sign onto one of these sessions please send an email to ycf@ymca-fg.org and we will get you booked on.

Please also find attached a copy of the report that our team have produced from the consultations in the Voice Zone at last years festival. The report captures what young carers said at the 2022 festival and draws out some of those key themes that we are seeing come through from their experiences. We use these to help us shape the festival as well as our work with governmental groups to help influence change all year round.
